Dr. Pradeep Sreedhar
The Vision :
It was a " long time dream come
true" for the man behind this project.
He initiated this department in 1999
at Sridhar Hospital with the idea of
giving good care to patients with Diabetes
throughout Malabar. |

With the good response
this programme received , he developed
further on this so as to provide a comprehensive
package in management of Diabetes and
its complications.Due to his special
interest and commitment towards this
subject, he designed the programme so
as to even make the common man accessible
to it.
Dr.Pradeep Sreedhar did his UnderGraduation
( M.B.B.S ) from Bangalore University
in 1990, then went on to complete his
PostGraduation (M.D ) in Internal Medicine
from the same university in 1995.Since
1995 to 1999 he was working as a Consultant
Physician in various hospitals in kerala
and Karnataka. In 1999 he started Sridhar
Hospital at Calicut. Since then he was
working as Chief Physician and Diabetologist
there. In 2003, he completed a Post
Graduate Diploma in Diabetology from
the University of NewCastle in Australia.
He also worked as Consultant Physician
to National Hospital, Baby Memorial
Hospital and Asoka Hospital at Calicut.
He is actively involved in various research
projects related to the subject. He
has attended as Delegate, Speaker and
Chairperson at various Diabetes Conferences
within and outside the country. He has
attended various prestigious International
Diabetes Conferences at countries like
USA. UK, Mexico, Switzerland, Holland,
Singapore, Paris, Italy, Hongkong,Dubai
etc. He is the President of Calicut
Diabetes Research and Charitable Society
formed for providing help and assistance
to the poor and needy diabetic patient.He
is a member of ADA, EASD, IDF, RSSDI,DFSI,
IMA Calicut Chapter etc.
As a means to stretch out the services
of this center to people outside the
country and to the neighbouring states,
he envisaged the idea of promoting this
programme through a medical tourism
package. As a initial step to this programe,
a new package named "DIACARE GLOBAL
" is being introduced.
